The Luna emerges from its cocoon destined to live just seven to nine days. Nevertheless, it symbolizes new beginnings.

A personal note: I’d never seen one until the first night of Becky’s and my first camping trip. Hand-sized, one floated into the light of our lantern, stilling our conversation, mesmerizing.

Now, 45 years since we promised a life together, it seems it heralded a new beginning indeed.
